The recent developments of the IRS scandal make it clear - the IRS is an agency that is out of control and must be reigned in.
That’s why the House Appropriations Committee today passed a bill that cut funding for the IRS by over $340 million, putting the scandal-ridden agency’s funding at pre-2008 levels. It also placed restrictions on employee bonuses, forbids funding from being used to target groups based on their political beliefs, prohibits funding to implement Obamacare’s individual mandate and stops the transfers of taxpayer dollars from the Department of Health and Human Services for Obamacare uses. The bill will now go before the entire U.S House of Representatives for a vote.
