San Francisco Political Group Trying To Turn Northwest GA Blue

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that a San Francisco-based political group – run by a British political operative and a Stanford professor – has purchased ads in Georgia.

Their goal? Recruit Democrats to run in the general election against me and put our Republican district in Nancy Pelosi’s hands.

You heard that right: a California political group is invading Northwest Georgia in order to support Democrats.

Click HERE to chip in $25, $50, $100 or any other amount to help me fight back.

Outside groups will do anything to stop the progress we’re making with President Trump. Please consider chipping in now so we can continue enacting policies that reflect our conservative values like unleashing private-sector job creation, slashing unnecessary rules and regulations, protecting life, and cutting taxes for families and businesses.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Rep. Graves, Georgia House Republicans Endorse Karen Handel for Congress

Ranger, Ga. – The Georgia Delegation of House Republicans has endorsed Karen Handel, who is running in a special election to represent Georgia’s 6th Congressional District. The delegation has issued the following statement:

“Karen Handel has a track record of serving Georgia’s community and stewarding its resources. Handel has led effectively and thoughtfully as Chairman of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners and Secretary of State.

“Unlike the liberal candidate, Handel has made the 6th District her home for decades and will bring Georgia values to Washington—not the other way around. She balances budgets, she fights for life and she defends freedom. We’re proud to support our fellow conservative, Karen Handel, for Congress.”

Georgia’s Republican Members of the House of Representatives include Reps. Rick Allen, Buddy Carter, Doug Collins, Drew Ferguson, Tom Graves, Jody Hice, Barry Loudermilk, Austin Scott and Rob Woodall.

We need your help!

Republicans in Georgia’s 6th Congressional district need your help ASAP! As you’ve probably heard, there is a special election next Tuesday, April 18th, to fill the vacancy created when Secretary Tom Price joined the Trump administration.

Nancy Pelosi, Bernie Sanders, Move-On.org and far left wingers from across the country want to take this seat. They are spending all the out-of-state money they can to flip this solid red district to dark blue.

We can’t stand by and let that happen.

If you have family or friends that live in the 6th District, please reach out to them and encourage them to vote Republican. Better yet, if you or those you know have some time in the next few days to volunteer to rally Republican voters, your help is urgently needed!

Advancing the Keystone XL Pipeline

I applaud President Trump for advancing the Keystone XL Pipeline, which Republicans in Congress pushed the Obama administration to approve for years. Construction of the pipeline will support more than 40,000 jobs and add billions of dollars to our economy. It was subject to five safety and environmental reviews by the State Department, and is even supported by labor unions. This action will make a real difference to all of the Americans who will have the opportunity to work and support their families as a result of this pipeline.

Protecting Life and Expanding Freedom

Our country was founded on the idea that each person has the right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

Sadly, however, these fundamental rights are under assault by liberal Democrats and activist judges who view the unborn as unhuman and who put political correctness above individual freedom.

But House Republicans are fighting back. Our victories include:

  • new provisions to protect life, such as a prohibition on genetic modification of human embryos.
  • for the first time ever, we were able to put a bill to end Obamacare and defund Planned Parenthood on the president’s desk. President Obama vetoed the bill, and we tried to override the veto but didn’t have enough votes. This proves we can win the fight to end Obamacare and defund Planned Parenthood if we have a Republican in the White House.
  • establishing a special House panel with subpoena powers to investigate organizations that participate in fetal tissue procurement, including Planned Parenthood.
  • renewing the federal ban on taxpayer funded abortions.

The mission to protect life and expand freedom is at the core of my public service. I will always fight to ensure each person can maximize their potential, live freely and achieve their American Dream, including the unborn.

I’m proud to have the endorsement and 100% rating from National Right to Life, and to be “certified pro-life” by their affiliate in Georgia, the Georgia Life Alliance.

Fighting for Conservative Values

Over the last seven years, Republicans in Congress have fought an overreaching Executive Branch, led by a president who appears to have little regard for the constitutional limits of his power.

Without a veto proof majority in both the House and the Senate, we’ve turned to the judicial system by filing lawsuits and briefs against the president’s actions.

With our help, the president’s unconstitutional executive amnesty plan was stopped by the courts and just last week a federal judge ruled that the Obama administration’s funding of an Obamacare subsidy program was unconstitutional.

These are big wins and they occurred because of real votes taken by the House of Representatives – votes and actions that would never have occurred if Democrats were in charge.

Additionally, House Republicans have relentlessly investigated the Benghazi terrorist attack through a special committee we created. If Democrats were in control, there would never have been a thorough investigation and the public would know far less about what really happened.

We’ve taken major, positive steps in other areas as well:

  • Cut spending by more than $176 billion and the deficit to its smallest amount since 2007.
  • Enacted the largest education reform bill in more than a decade, giving power back to state and local governments and blocking the federal government from coercing states to adopt Common Core. We zeroed out the federal funding stream that was used to reward states that adopted Common Core.
  • Cut the EPA’s staffing level to its lowest level since 1989.
  • Prohibited the UN Arms Trade Treaty from being funded or implemented.
  • Cut IRS funding by more than $1 billion and froze most of its operations budget.

These things all happened because we stood up for our conservative values and took a principled fight to the president.

I will never back down from standing up for your conservative values and being your voice in Washington.  – Tom

National Right to Life Endorses Tom Graves for Congress

I’m proud to say that the National Right to Life – one of the nation’s leading pro-life organizations – has endorsed our campaign.

The mission to protect innocent life – born and unborn – has always been at the core of my public service, and it’s an honor to receive the support of National Right to Life in our campaign.  – Tom

May 12, 2016

The Honorable Tom Graves

Post Office Box 335

Calhoun, GA 30703

Dear Congressman Graves:

National Right to Life is pleased to endorse you for reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives, to represent the 14th congressional district of Georgia.

We strongly commend you for maintaining a perfect 100 percent pro-life voting record throughout your years of service in Congress.

During the current Congress, you cosponsored and voted for the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, legislation to protect unborn children at 20 weeks, a point by which the unborn child is capable of experiencing great pain when being killed by dismemberment or other late abortion methods.

You voted for the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, a bill that would establish a permanent, government-wide policy against funding abortions or health plans that cover abortions. You voted repeatedly to block federal funding of Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider.

You voted to repeal the Obama healthcare law – a law that created a national program of massive federal subsidies for insurance plans that cover abortion, and imposes rationing of lifesaving medical care.

National Right to Life believes that all voters who are concerned with the right to life and with the protection of the most vulnerable members of the human family should vote to return you to Congress, so that you can continue to work to advance vital pro-life public policies.

Sincerely,

David N. O’Steen              Ph.D. Douglas Johnson                Karen A. Cross

Executive Director           Legislative Director                      Political Director

Tom Graves Certified by the Georgia Life Alliance as a Pro-Life Candidate

Years ago, my wife Julie and I worked with many concerned citizens to keep an abortion clinic out of Northwest Georgia. The mission to protect innocent life, born and unborn, has been at the core of my public service. As I run for reelection, I’m honored to say I am a Georgia Life Alliance Certified Pro-Life Candidate.

Georgia Life Alliance, which is the Georgia affiliate of National Right to Life, issued a letter recognizing my strong pro-life record and approved me as a Georgia Life Alliance Certified Pro-Life Candidate.

In Georgia Life Alliance’s press release announcing the decision, Executive Director Emily Matson noted: “Congressman Tom Graves has a 100% pro-life voting record with the National Right to Life and other leading pro-life organizations. Tom cast at least eleven pro-life votes in the 114th Congress, each time proving his commitment to protecting the unborn and honoring the sanctity of human life.”

I will to continue to stand up and fight for all human life.

– Tom
